Recent news... School is normal. Graduation in May. No job, looking for one once I graduate. Willing to go anywhere in the country, would like something that pays well enough I can get a nice multiple bedroom apartment and force some friends to live with me.

I recently had a story purchased and published in a legitimate magazine with a F/M spanking theme.

I have for the first time begun serious work on a novel, the genre is cyberpunk. A genre that is so awesome, it must be written in bold.

Gaming time is still most regularly spent in City of Heroes / City of Villains, though I haven't been able to devote much time to it lately.

Babyfurs have been making me feel weird lately. I love the cuddly little scamps, but I'm not one of them. And they always travel in packs.... Seriously, the roaming gangs of babyfurs scare me a little.

I suppose when I see an adult fur, there are so many possibilities that I just don't make any stereotype judgments. When I see a babyfur... well, I assume they want to be treated like a little kid. But then they don't act like a baby, so I change my mind... then I find out they like being treated like a baby even through they don't act like one.... That just gets confusing. Plus lately I've been using an old character that's about 95% my true fursona... I don't really like having to explain that I was a pooka long before I ever heard of the famous Softpaw duo, and they only embrace one version of the pooka legend. Also, I hate to say it, but males are just treated differently. I mean heck, Jill Singer is the star of her own cub yiff series, but on SecondLife no one ever questioned that her main desire was to make little ones just feel happy and safe. Anyone who has been with Jill that way knows they had to practically (often literally) beg for it! Yet just being male seems to make people think I'm after something I'm not. And then you got those babyfurs who are mommy and grandma, and mistress to several other babyfurs, all the while still being a babyfur themselves. How the heck is a sane adult supposed to treat that? "Do as I say! ... oh.. but it contradicts what your 3-year old mistress told you to do? uh... well... nevermind.... I'll go stand over here." Seriously, babyfurs. I love you. But WTF?! Maybe I should just force myself to hang out at the Conclave until it all makes sense again.

Oh well... That concludes this post. If you're wondering why I haven't updated this journal in forever, it's because I've been busy, other places, etc. etc. Even got a FurAffinity account finally set up.

Biggest news is that I got a job. Nothing fancy, just a minimum wage gig working at the local dollar store. Which as it turns out is pretty awesome. I've had two occurances already that some of you might find interesting. The first being that I saw Santa Claus. Seriously. I was at register and a jolly fat man with a big scraggily white beard and a big red t-shirt came through my line buying a bunch of toys. I don't care what anyone says, he was Santa.

Second event of interest... Dollar stores have some very interesting and awesome items. Right next to the register we have a display of children's gas masks. Real functional military gas masks. There are three crates, so that's eighty or so masks, and I think I'm going to end up buying most of them.

Started up City of Heroes again... still toying with my Villians on the Virtue server, but started some heroes on Justice because I've got some friends there.

Other than that, just the normal fun happy stuff. Don't talk to some people as much as I'd like to... Kanji. And tomorrow is the first of the month, so everyone remember that if the very first words you say are "Rabbit, rabbit" you'll have good luck for thirty days

The Boy Who Cried Emo

Once upon a time in a kingdom far, far away; there lived a young prince. The Prince had everything a young lad could want, but he was very unhappy. So like any unhappy young man, he started a LiveJournal in which he made a post every single day explaining just how unhappy he was. At first the people were very sad to learn that their beloved young Prince lived such a depressing life. They endeavored to cheer him up, and sent him all sorts of marvelous presents. Entertainers, jesters, and musicians were summoned from the entire kingdom just to try to cheer up the Prince. Yet for all their efforts the Prince never smiled once, and soon began to wear dark eyeliner. Eventually the people realized they could do nothing to cheer up the Prince and so they stopped sending gifts, and the entertainers returned to their homes. The Prince wrote in his LiveJournal about how everyone left him and nobody loved him, but by this point everyone stopped caring. The Prince began to do more and more drastic things to try and gain the attention and sympathy of his people. He pierced himself in odd places, and got a tattoo of a skull on his left butt cheek. Then one day his sister; the Princess came up to him and said "You're emo and nobody likes you." Then proceeded to kick her brother in the head. The people were glad to see the Prince kicked in the head, and the Prince decided he liked being emo, though he would never admit it; so they all lived happily ever after.

I was looking at a few old files and came across this. It's a story I wrote on a message board a couple years back because someone said she was bored, so I decided to tell a story! It's cute, moderatly kinky, and not to be taken seriously at all. It is rated naughty though, so any cubs caught reading it are in big trouble!

It's that time again! A magazine at my university called Verbal Seduction is accepting submissions again. They mostly do crappy poems and emo photography, but there's a few short pieces of fiction too. I'm thinking of writing something for it, but not drawing a lot of inspiration just now. I have until March 9th to come up with something if I decide I want to. I did submit a story last year, but they turned it down even though I did my best to make it lame and semi-poetic. I'll post that one here if anyone is bored enough to read it.

So normally I make it a point not to dream about people I know. It makes things ackward sometimes. But this one was kinda cute, so I thought I'd share.

It started off with a typical group of villians, the corporate Lex Luther types, and for some reason they figured out bombing the city would make them a whole bunch of money. I'm just kind of walking down the street when the bombing starts, so I hop into the nearest building, which happens to be the basement of some old lady's house. There are three people there, but two are just shapeless blobs at this point, placeholders while I focus on the third figure, who naturally is the old lady. She's out of groceries, so I offer to go pick some up for her. At this point, the two shapeless blobs turn into noneother than Kahncub and BabySaya. So the three of us march off to a grand adventure, and all seems well until I cross a street and realize I'm alone. Back on the other side of the street is Kahn shouting "Wait! I'm not brave enough to cross the street yet!" Super cute. So I make her brave. I'm not sure how exactly. But the dream did point out if a cub made of rubber happened to be hit by a car, she'd just bounce around a lot and be fine. So she crosses the street, and then BabySaya is about to come over too, when a big scary steamroller comes rolling up the street. It's one of those giant scary cartoonish things too, totally an evil vehicle. Obviously sent by the villians to prevent us from getting groceries for Granny. So my response is to wonder what the heck a steamroller is doing on an obviously already paved and well maintained street. In my sensible dream state, I figure it really isn't that much of an obstacle, since we just have to wait for it to pass and then all of us can come to the same side of the street and be on our way. Instead, BabySaya attacks it.

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing with the image stuck in my head of a rubberform BabySaya lunging at the front windshield of a huge gothic steamroller, claws and fangs bared, and the most feral look in her eyes I've ever seen.

Moved Friday to spend Winter Break with my parents. I'd like to get a job while I've got the time off, but I don't really see that happening, and I haven't been very motivated. I was actually off to a fairly nice start at the begining of the semster, but now with finals and everything over, I'm still waiting for my grades, but I'm expecting lots of D's. As long as I pass, good enough... if I fail math again... that's big time suck.

Lately my mind has been scattered. I just can't seem to focus on one thought consistantly. So I've kind of been cocooning up in solitude and acomplishing nothing the last week or so. I've got a month before the next semester starts, I really should force myself to write. I sure could use someone to cuddle with right now.

In more cheerful news, it snowed today! I was really worried I might have to suffer through my first non-white Christmas. Evem the year I was visiting relatives in the desert, there was a random blizard just in time for the holiday. I've always loved snow. Maybe I'll find an excuse to go outside and play in it.

I'm back online for anyone who didn't notice yet. Pretty darn busy though. There's only one week of classes left before finals. That leaves me at one math test, four history essays, one english essay... actually I guess that's it. Not so bad. Need to do a lot of studying for finals though.

So they broke a gas main on campus today. Right next to my dad's office, I ran into him on the street as they were evacuating the building, so I got the whole story. Pretty cool. They actually still have the area evacuated as of my writing this, and I am safely at my apartment about a mile or so away. Haven't heard an explosion yet though, so I think it'll be okay.

Tomorrow is December 1st! Remember that if the very first thing you say at the start of the new month is "rabbit rabbit" you'll have good luck for the entire month!

So I came home from class tonight and turned on my computer. Noticed it was taking a while for my IM services to connect... So I clicked around a bit and realized I wasn't connecting to the internet... Opened up my web browser and got redirected to the university's security page. Aparantly my machine has been quarantined from accessing the web because some copyright infringment was detected in the distribution of certain files...

Anyway, I'm at a computer lab now but I won't really get to be online for a little bit. Tomorrow evening at the earliest. Now if something like this were brought up to a court of law, a first time offender could face up to 5 years in prison and/or a fine of $250,000 per file transferred... Just mentioning that in case I'm not heard from for a while.

I'm not worried though, I know exactly how it actually works. I just need to go to the help desk and sign a paper saying I was a naughty bunny and will never do it again. My only worry from this is that the incident was timestamped as occuring on October 22nd... Now I'm not saying another incident did or did not occur, but it'd be a real pain if they decided to mark me for a second offence that occured before they gave the first warning.

Yup, at parents' house for Thanksgiving. One of my brothers lives in Arizona, the other was visiting some place out of state, so it was just me, mom, dad, and two doggies. I forgot to bring home my empty peanutbutter jars for the doggies too.. oh well, next time.

Had a pretty small dinner actually. Turky, potatoes, corn, ice cream. Was yummy.

High point of the day was I actually got some writing done! Yay! I haven't done that in a while. Cute little story about a muse personified as a furry. I'll try to get it finished fairly soon.

I am thankful.... for all the basics; life, family, friends, love, the internet, porn, individuality, creativity, television, puppies, corruption, Kanji, cookies and milk, MMORPGs, music, magic, twizlers, self gratification, Microsoft, plushies, RPGs, webcomics, pirates, etc.

Started to look into picking my classes for next semester. The only thing on my list that even looked vaguely interesting was ETS Reading Gender and Sexuality.. So of course the class is full already and I can't get in. I sent an email to the professor requesting admission to the advanced fiction workshop class, but I'm probably too late for that too since only a few seats are reserved for full time students. Even the sociology class I was going to sign up for is full. And this is the first time I actually tried signing up for classes the first week I was able too!

Oh well. Guess I can look forward to a boring semester of math, geology, and introduction to speech and hearing disorder. Yuck.

Speaking of geology and math, I think I failed my last test in both those classes. Go me!

So I got to have some fun over the weekend. Saturday was the Vampire LARP I ST for. We decided to bring in the sire of the most powerful Malkavian NPC in game, so the new one is naturally the most scary crazy powerful vampire NPC ever seen in six years of game, and I get to play him! Used mental powers to make a lot of people crazy, and did quite a bit to advance the plot, I won't get into it though unless asked. I'm proud of the players too, they're really starting to be devious manipulative pricks, and that's what the game is all about! I just wish more of them would send in character histories so we can gear more personalized plots towards them.

Sunday I kind of chilled out and watched a bunch of movies. Finally got to see Fun with Dick and Jane, which I've wanted to since the previews came out. Didn't do any of the studying I meant to, so I'm gonna sit here with my math book open until I fall asleep.

1:30 in the morning... barely done any studying at all for my test tomorrow... today... Guess I'll get started on that in a minute. So tomorrow gonna do that test, then go to my parent's house to dogsit for the weekend, so probably won't be online much. Gotta prepare some plot for the LARP and then focus on homework.

Isn't it odd that I never get anything done because I'm so busy?
